All courses are Elite with Nested Novice and Pre-Novice courses

SEMINAR INFORMATION

Sandra Katzen and I are doing a series of three seminars. I will have flyers available and more information as time goes on. Those 2010 calendar pages are filling up so mark the dates if you want to come! Here are the dates and general topics:

March 6-7, 2010 ~ download flyer here for all seminars .pdf file

Topics: CROSSES!! Where to put what kind of cross on a course! How to find and set a front cross line, the mechanics of front crosses, etc.
Using rear crosses on all kinds of equipment, not just jumps! Timing of crosses!! Using crosses with distance handling.

April 17-18, 2010

Topics: Serpentines, 180 and 270 degree turns, wraps,
threadles... Dog motivation through pinwheels and other tight turns

May 22-23, 2010

Topics: Proofing, Proofing, Proofing! Working on handler intensity and intention. The mental aspect of the game Reinforcement, Reinforcement, Reinforcement (timing and placement, reward vs luring)..... "My dog is perfect at home and at class.........." Trial rituals for you and your dog. Did I mention proofing and reinforcement? :))

More information to come. Saturdays will be Novice level and for some of the seminars, possibly pre-Novice, Sundays will be Advanced groups. The seminars will be held either in Kent or Purdy. We will let you know about cost, etc. It's not too early to let us know if you are interested!

Directions:

From Tacoma : Take Highway 16 West (toward Bremerton ). Exit at the Purdy/Key Center Exit. At the Chevron Station (second stoplight) turn right (East)—this will be 144 th Street NW. Follow 144 th to a “T” in the road (approximately 2-3 miles). Turn left onto Crescent Valley Drive NW and proceed approximately 1.5 miles to 160 th Street NW (big red farmhouse on your right). Turn right on 160 th , go for about .6 miles and at the “T” in the road bear right on 14 th Avenue NW . Go about a mile (past the curve in the road sign, past the intersection with Crescent Lake Drive NW ). Turn right at the second driveway on your right after the Crescent Lake Drive NW intersection. You will see the arena back in the trees.
